FAQ

The eligibility criteria for participation is pretty simple. You need to be a startup that is:

  • Based in UAE
  • Or planning to expand to UAE

This is a great opportunity for startups in UAE to showcase their ideas and potentially gain exposure, support, and investment. The organizers of the show are looking for innovative and exciting new startups to feature, so if you meet the eligibility criteria, it’s definitely worth considering applying.

The show is open to a wide range of participants! Whether you’re a home entrepreneur, an established business owner, a startup founder, or even someone with a great business idea, you are eligible to participate.
THE FALCONS are a group of 8 giant tycoons, angel investors, and venture capitalists from around the world who are involved in the startup ecosystem. They are experts in their fields and have a wealth of experience and knowledge when it comes to investing in startups and helping them grow. Their expertise and connections can help you take your business to the next level, and they may even be able to provide investment or other forms of support.
If you’re interested in participating in THE FALCONS, you do not necessarily need to be a UAE resident. The show is open to anyone who is looking to expand their business over the UAE. If you have a business or idea that you believe has the potential to succeed in the UAE, then this show could be a great opportunity for you.
Typically, startups can expect investment from super angels and venture capitalists. Super angels are wealthy individuals who invest in startups and often provide mentorship and guidance to founders. Venture capitalists, on the other hand, are firms that specialize in investing in startups and helping them grow. These investors are looking for promising businesses and innovative ideas that they believe have the potential to succeed and grow.
If you’re interested in applying for THE FALCONS, the first step is to click on the “Register Now” button provided on the first page of the website. This will take you to the registration page where you’ll be asked to provide some basic information about yourself and your business. Once you’ve filled out the registration form, you’ll be asked to submit a pitch deck or video explaining your business idea and why you believe it has the potential to succeed. THE FALCONS team will review all submissions and select the most promising startups to participate in the show.
They don’t. THE FALCONS are not given any prior information about the startups that will be pitching to them. This means that they do not prepare for the pitch in advance and only have limited information about the business and the founders behind it when they are sitting in front of them. This unique approach forces THE FALCONS to ask questions on the spot and make quick decisions about whether or not to invest in the startup. It also adds pressure on THE FALCONS who must quickly decide if the startup is something they’re interested in and they have to jockey for position with an offer to beat out the other Falcons.
THE FALCONS show focuses on authenticity and real-time decision-making, which means that the final pitch is not scripted or heavily trained. As an entrepreneur, you understand your product the best, so the final pitch will be prepared by you with guidance and direction from the directorial team on what is the most effective way of pitching on television. They will help you prepare by providing tips on how to communicate your business effectively, what kind of language to use, and how to present your business in the best possible light.

When the cameras go on, it’s showtime! You will be directed down a hall and onto the set, where you will hit your mark and pause for an establishing shot.

Once you begin your pitch, there are no do-overs. The cameras keep rolling until you exit the set, so it’s important to be prepared and confident in your pitch. The pitch will typically last around 45 minutes, but it can vary in length from 22 to 100 minutes. The footage is later edited down to an 11-minute segment for the show.

During the pitch, THE FALCONS will ask you questions and engage with you to learn more about your business. It’s important to be open and honest with them, as they are looking for authentic and passionate entrepreneurs to invest in.

If you receive an investment commitment from THE FALCONS on the show, the next step is pre-show due diligence. This is the process where the incoming investors will conduct a thorough review of your business and financials to ensure that everything is in order before committing their funds.

Assuming the due diligence is positive, the investment will be made right away. You will then receive the funding according to the terms of the investment agreement that you and the investors negotiate.

Overall, receiving an investment commitment from THE FALCONS can be a great opportunity to take your business to the next level, so be sure to prepare yourself and your business to make the most of this exciting opportunity.

Not receiving funding on the show doesn’t necessarily mean that your startup is not investible. THE FALCONS provide a platform for visibility, which can attract other potential investors, partners, or customers. In addition, the show offers mentorship and guidance from experienced business leaders, which can help startups improve their business models and strategies. So, even if you don’t receive funding, you can still benefit from participating in THE FALCONS.
Yes, the show aims to feature a diverse range of products and services from various industries, including tech, food, and other sectors. They do not have a specific quota for each type of product, but they strive to showcase a mix of items at different stages of the business life cycle. This includes established companies with proven sales, as well as innovative startups with intriguing ideas. The show seeks to provide a platform for entrepreneurs from a variety of backgrounds and industries to showcase their businesses and ideas to the world.
Having a great idea with proof of concept, an interesting backstory, and the ability to pitch with energy, charisma, and confidence can increase your chances to secure a spot on THE FALCONS. It’s also important to submit a strong application and showcase what sets your business apart from others. The selection process ultimately depends on the production team’s criteria and THE FALCONS’ interest in the pitches presented on the show.
There are many applicants and only a limited number of spots available on the show. However, if you have a great idea, a strong pitch, and meet the criteria outlined by the show, you have a chance of being selected for the second round of vetting and potentially making it onto the show.
To clarify, you need to submit the necessary financial and legal documents for due diligence purposes before you can secure a spot on the show and receive investment. This is to ensure that the investors have a clear understanding of the financial and legal status of your business and can make informed decisions.
The primary language of the show is English. Therefore, it is recommended to pitch in English. However, if English is not your first language and you feel more comfortable pitching in another language, you can provide an interpreter or translator to ensure effective communication with THE FALCONS.
